🔐 Data Collection

Global Search Simulator does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII). We do not track your searches, browsing behavior, or usage patterns.

📦 Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome’s local storage to temporarily store:

• The demo start time (to manage the 30-minute access limit)
• Your last selected country and language (for convenience)

This data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to external servers.

🌐 Permissions Explanation

We use the following permissions strictly for functional purposes:

• tabs – To open new tabs with your search results
• storage – To store the demo timer and your UI preferences
• activeTab – To interact with the current tab context (if needed)
• scripting – To dynamically update UI elements inside the popup

None of these permissions are used to monitor or collect personal data.

🚫 No Third-Party Access

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or external tracking libraries.
There are no ads and no data sharing with any external services.

🔒 Security

All code runs locally within the extension. No data is sent or received from external servers.
